Un club, posé là, au milieu de nulle part. Kadâmbini, moustache en guidon et lunettes d’aviateur vissées sur la tête est prêt à entreprendre le voyage le plus improbable de sa vie : un voyage poétique, peuplé de non-sens, d’absurde et de manipulations, constitué de boucles, de lumières et de situations renversées.
Kadâmbini est une collaboration des quatre sensibilités qui composent le collectif Iduun: Bart, réalisateur et vidéaste, Philippe, ingénieur IHM et vidéaste, Alexandra, illustratrice et Charles, ingénieur du son.
Kadâmbini est un spectacle audio-vidéo, une rencontre des arts de la scène et des technologies numériques. Le spectacle mêle vidéos et animations créées en amont puis montées, truquées et sonorisées depuis le plateau. Le jeu de scène – manipulation d’images, d’objets ou de sons mais également mapping, trucages et prises de vue – entre en intéraction avec les images de sort que l’un ne puisse exister sans l’autre et inversement. La machine se fait oublier et le comédien retrouve une place importante, sur scène et à l’écran.
L’univers poétique de Kadâmbini s’inspire de Lewis Caroll, Homère, Saint Exupéry et Terry Gilliam pour un voyage onirique poursuivant sa propre logique.

Dans Kadâmbini, le défi est à son comble ; l’expression audiovisuelle qu’on imaginait s’emparer sans partage, avec fatalisme, de nos habitudes, rend la politesse à « la scène » en laissant les acteurs vivants rejouer la représentation face à leur public. Nous atterrissons dans un vrai spectacle, et on peut même oser le mot « spectacle total ».

Probably the best and most inspiring experience during the festival was Kadâmbini, an audiovisual theater performance by the French group Iduun. It’s a dreamy Terry Gilliam like narrative made up of a mix of pre shot video, animation, acting, live video, video mapping, recorded audio and live sound effects.

A club placed there, in the middle of nowhere. Kadâmbini, handlebar mustache and aviator glasses screwed on his head, is ready for the most incredible journey of his life : a journey mode of nonsense, absurdity and manipulation, built of loops, lights and reversed situations.
Kadâmbini is an audio-video show, a meeting between the art of the stage and the digital technologies. The show combines upstream videos and animations, edited and sound designed on-stage. The stage play – manipulation of frames, objects or sounds, but also mapping, video FX and shooting – interacts with the movie projected on the screen, so that one can not exist without the other and vice-versa. We forget the computer and acting finds an important place on stage and on the screen.
The poetic world of Kadâmbini is inspired by Lewis Carroll, Homer, Saint Exupery and Terry Gilliam for a journey that follows its own dreamy logic.
